All-purpose natural cleaner

This all-purpose natural cleaner combines baking soda with white vinegar to dissolve dirt and grease from a variety of surfaces, thus leaving your home sparkling. Tea tree oil acts as a natural and gentle disinfectant due to its antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties­, it keeps your home germ-free.


  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons baking soda
  • One tablespoon of tea tree oil


  • Add the vinegar, tea tree oil and a little water to a glass spray bottle.
  • Then add baking soda to this bottle.
  • Shake the bottle to blend the ingredients after topping it with water.
  • Spray this natural cleaner to melt away oil and grease stains and disinfect surfaces.

Natural lemon degreaser

Did you know lemon and vinegar are two of the best natural cleaners? So, for this year’s spring cleaning, combine these two ingredients for a power-packed natural degreaser–oil stains don’t stand a chance!


  • ½ cup lemon peels
  • 1 ½ cups white vinegar
  • 5 drops of lavender oil


  • Add lemon peels to a bowl. Then, add white vinegar. Cover the bowl and put it aside.
  • Soak the peels in white vinegar for around two weeks.
  • After two weeks, strain the liquid.
  • Transfer this liquid to a glass spray bottle.
  • Spray this sustainable cleaner on oil and grease stains and wipe with a microfiber towel.

Natural Hardwood Cleaner

Cleaning hardwood floors is certainly one of the most challenging tasks of spring cleaning. Instead of chemical-laden cleaning products, try this natural hardwood cleaner which will remove stubborn stains and get your floors sparkling again. It is so easy to make and does not call for any fancy ingredients–you just have to raid your kitchen cupboard to make it.


  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • 4 liters of warm water
  • 5 to 10 drops of lemon essential oil
  • 1 large bucket


  • Add 4 liters of warm water to a large bucket. Then, add half a cup of white vinegar and a few drops of lemon essential oil. Mix all the ingredients.
  • To use, put a mop head into the bucket and thoroughly wring it out until it is only damp. Use on floors and then repeat.
