Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 3 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 bananas
  • Blueberries as desired
  • 1 scoop moringa powder

Direction:

Add chia seeds, almond milk, cinnamon, moringa powder in a bowl and stir well. Let the mix sit for 10-15 minutes until the consistency becomes thick. Take a medium-sized bowl and create a bottom layer of half-sliced banana. Add half of the chia seed mix. Create another layer of chopped banana. Pour in the rest of the chia seed mix. Ingredients:

  • 3 overripe bananas
  • 2 small size eggs
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • ⅓ cup milk of choice
  • 1 cup coconut flour
  • ⅓ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp moringa powder
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • Walnuts (optional)

Directions:

Pour the first six ingredients into a bowl. Whisk them well. Take another bowl and put in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and moringa powder. Whisk to combine. Add the dry mixture into the wet mix and beat until the consistency is thick. Add the dark chocolate chips and mix until smooth. Pour it into an oil greased pan and sprinkle some walnuts on top. Bake the bread in a preheated oven -350F for one hour. Enjoy this fourth of July dessert.

MORINGA OATMEAL COOKIES

A crowd-pleasing and healthy sweet treat that is packed with the goodness of oats and the sweet bursts of raisins.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup salted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup and 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp moringa powder
  • 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp grated nutmeg
  • 1 ½ cup raisins
  • 3 cups rolled oats

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease two cookie sheets. In a large bowl, beat butter. Add the brown sugar and honey and beat until the mixture turns creamy. Slowly add eggs and beat once again. Put in vanilla extract.

Take another bowl and mix all the dry ingredients. Add this mixture into the butter-egg mix. Stir in the raisins followed by oats. Scoop out the dough on cookie sheets and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the edges turn golden brown. Cool for a while. Store in an airtight container. These cookies do not just make excellent fourth of July desserts but are great treats for any other day as well. A very happy 4th of July!
