A "Pantry Essential" isn't a marketing tier. It's simply the shortlist that came out of our own order data: the six flavors customers reorder most often, subscribe to at the highest rate, and rate most consistently. These are the boxes people don't want to run out of.
Every one of them is certified organic single-origin moringa from family-run farms in Sri Lanka's rainforest belt, in individually sealed, plastic-free bags. Here's what each actually tastes like, who it tends to suit, and what customers say about it in their own words.
Original
Taste: pure moringa leaf and nothing else. Light and clean, faintly savoury, with a golden-green cup and a soft peppery finish. Start here if you want to know what moringa itself tastes like before you judge the blends.
Best for: everyday drinking, cooking with, and anyone who takes tea unsweetened.
Caffeine: none.
"This is one of the best teas I have ever tasted! It's the only tea I can drink without a sweetener. The flavor is light, clean and fresh. Definitely would buy again." — menen, verified customer review
"I use moringa tea as a replacement for black tea. It is different, but it's a satisfying alternative for me. This tea has a very good flavor, even compared with the bright green moringa powder I also have." — Wanda K., verified customer review
Green Tea
Taste: moringa leaf blended with decaffeinated green tea. Rounder and smoother than Original, with none of the astringency green tea usually brings, and notably forgiving if you leave the bag in.
Best for: committed green tea drinkers, and anyone who over-steeps.
Caffeine: under 1 mg per serving. This is the one exception people should know about — it's a blend with real (decaffeinated) tea leaf, so it's effectively trace rather than literally zero.
"This is the best green tea ever! There is no aftertaste like other brands and you can leave the tea bags in as long as you want without it getting bitter — in fact the longer the tea bags are in the better it tastes to me." — Rosanne, verified customer review
"Exactly as described. I enjoyed every cup of it. It is smooth, relaxing and enjoyable any time of day or evening." — Wanda M., verified customer review
Ginger
Taste: warming rather than fiery. The ginger is gentle and sits over the moringa rather than burying it — closer to a fresh ginger infusion than to a spicy chai.
Best for: cold mornings, after dinner, and anyone easing into the moringa flavour for the first time.
Caffeine: none.
"I thoroughly enjoy this tea with its delicate ginger taste. Before ordering this tea, I knew nothing about moringa, and now I want to grow it in my greenhouse, as it is so versatile." — MasterSM, verified customer review
"Picked up a box some time ago on a whim and really enjoyed the flavour, so had to purchase more when I finished that box. Can highly recommend the tea." — David C., verified customer review
Lemon
Taste: the mildest tea in the range. Bright citrus over the green note, and the easiest of the six to drink with nothing added.
Best for: iced tea, hot afternoons, and sceptics.
Caffeine: none.
"This is my go-to flavor when I want a mild, mellow, warm cup of tea. I highly recommend this flavor." — Danyelle S., verified customer review
"Delicious tea that is fragrant. If you love lemon flavor, you will enjoy this tea. I also bought some as gifts for friends." — Karen G., verified customer review
Mint
Taste: a moringa tea with mint, rather than a straight peppermint. Cool and rounded, and it develops a faint chocolate note if you let it steep a while.
Best for: after meals, evenings, and iced tea.
Caffeine: none.
"I bought all the flavors and I like the mint flavor the most. I let it steep for a while and it tastes kind of like a peppermint patty. No sugar needed." — Jeanne C., verified customer review
"My favorite herbal tea! Packaging and freshness are great. I like that this is not a straight-up mint tea — those are a bit too intensely mint for my taste. This is a moringa tea with mint, very pleasing." — Wendy K., verified customer review
Turmeric
Taste: earthy and mildly savoury rather than sweet — the most grown-up flavour of the six. Takes honey extremely well, and a splash of milk if you want something closer to a golden latte.
Best for: morning drinkers who want something with body, and anyone who finds fruit teas cloying.
Caffeine: none.
"Almost complex flavor but not overwhelming. Mildly savory and so good with a teaspoon of honey." — Brittney L., verified customer review
"Love, love this tea! So good and with a smooth taste. Will order again and also try something new." — Vanjac, verified customer review
How to brew any of them well
Water just off the boil rather than at a rolling boil, 3–5 minutes, one bag per cup. For iced tea, brew at double strength and pour straight over a full glass of ice. None of the six turns harsh if you forget about it — a real advantage over black tea.
